The Barrow Concussion and Brain Injury center is the leader in concussion education encouraging a change in behavior and attitudes toward concussions in high school athletes. Through collaboration and the Barrow Foundation, the Barrow Concussion Network provides AIA-member schools throughout the state access to computerized assessment tools (ImPACT), balance assessment (Sway Balance), statewide concussion research, and free concussion consultation with the valley’s top concussion specialists. In addition, the BCN has replicated their program in the Bay area of California and plans to expand across the country.

Athletic trainers in Arizona can request access to the Barrow Concussion Network by emailing BCN@barrowneuro.org Please provide your full name, the name of your school(s) of employment, and your contact phone number. You will receive an email invitation into the Barrow Concussion Network AND an email giving access to ImPACT (for AIA eligible schools).

Concussion Baseline Testing

Barrow Concussion Network, along with A.T. Still University, is now providing baseline concussion testing to youth athletes who may not have access to these services elsewhere. For athletes ages 6 and up, testing is available individually or in groups. The nominal fee pays for the test itself, the following up information sent to you and your physician and travel for the test administrator to come to your site. Having baseline testing is beneficial if an athlete sustains a concussion because the testing can provide a physician with normative reference values. To request testing please contact BCN@barrowneuro.org or use the link above to visit the website.
