2019 AzATA Elections

Nominations are now open for the 2019 AzATA Board of Directors Elections

The available positions and their descriptions are listed below.

If you or someone you know are interested in running for a BOD position and meet the nomination criteria, submit your nomination via email to Michelle Gonzalez at president@azata.net

Nominations are due no later than July 14, 2018.


Nominating Criteria

Must be a certified member of the NATA for a period of not less than two (2) years immediately prior to nomination and shall have practiced professionally within the State of Arizona for a period of not less than one (1) year immediately prior to their nomination.



AzATA President

The President of the Association shall:

  • Preside over all meetings of the Association.
  • Preside over all meetings of the Board.
  • Function as the Chief Executive Officer of the Association
  • Represent the Association in dealings with other organizations, or appoint individuals to do so.
  • Appoint committee chairs and advisory members of the Board with the consent of the Board.
  • Provide for the implementation of the Constitution, By-Laws, and
  • Policies and Procedures of the Association and oversee the functions of the members of the Board.
  • Appoint members to fill vacant positions on the Board with the consent of the Board.
  • Serve as liaison to such standing and ad hoc committee(s) as assigned by the President with the approval of the BOD.




AzATA Vice President

Vice President shall:
  • Function as the Chief Operations Officer of the Association
  • Perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President.
  • Take the office of the President if the President can no longer fulfill the duties of the President.
  • Serve as liaison to such standing and ad hoc committee(s) as assigned by the President with the approval of the BOD.



AzATA Secretary

The Secretary shall:

  • Keep all records and papers of the Association, including all
  • membership related records;
  • Keep minutes and records of meetings of the membership and the Board.
  • Shall be responsible for all aspects of membership management,
  • including maintenance of membership lists, membership status,
  • and membership communication.
  • Complete correspondence as required by the Constitution, ByLaws,
  • Policies and Procedures of the Association or requested by
  • the President.
  • Parliamentary responsibilities lie with the Secretary, who shall
  • follow Robert’s Rules of Order.
  • Serve as liaison to such standing and ad hoc committee(s) as
  • assigned by the President with the approval of the BOD

 


AzATA Members at Large  (4 positions)

The At-Large Members shall:
  • Represent the interests of the entire membership in matters before the Board.
  • Serve as a liaison between members and the Board.
  • Assist in implementing the Policies and Procedures of the
  • Association as directed by the President.
  • Serve as liaison to such standing and ad hoc committee(s) as assigned by the President with the approval of the BOD.
